An apple a day 🍎

 Hello Friends and family!!!  I hope you all had a great week!!  This week with so good and I could definitely tell that my ASL skills are growing!! So that's a plus! 

This week we had Zone Conference which is actually like a mission conference. Everyone in the mission hopped on Zoom and we had some trainings on health safety and teaching skills. So the night before we got a text from our mission president asking if we'd be willing to interpret for a sister in our mission. Of course we said yes!! So us and the ASL elders went to the church to interpret. Zone conference lasted for 3 days and it was really cool to see how my interpreting grew and I became more comfortable. I have so much work ahead of me, but I'm getting better :)

We had some good lessons with a lot of people this week and one of my favorite was with our gestures member Vero. She is so cute and we loved talking about Jesus' love for us. We also talked about the restoration! It is so cool to see her testimony! Every time I talk to her I can't help myself from getting the biggest grin on my face. Anyway, at the end of our lesson she was so excited to tell me that she came up with a sign name for me!!! She drew a picture of an apple and gave me the sign name of apple with an s. It was so cute and she was so excited so I had to accept it! I am so happy I got my name from Vero and I loved seeing her light up when I accepted it. The rest of the night I couldn't wipe my silly grin off my face. Haha

On Sunday I got to give my first talk in sacrament meeting in ASL! It was such a sweet opportunity to grow my signing skills and we got 4 of our friends to come to church too!!! When I finished my talk I saw one of them clapping and saying thank you! It was so so cute!!
