We're not dead yet :)
Hello friends and family!! How's it going? I hope yall are doin good!
This week was crazy!! We were so busy everyday and I loved every minute of it!
On Tuesday we had another lesson with Vero and Juana!! Man, I love those two! We had a good lesson in guestures about how much god and Jesus love them. It is so cool to talk with people in gestures and the lessons are so cute. Everytime I talk with Vero or Juana I can't help but smiling.
We got to attend Jorges baptism!!! It was so cool because Jorge is in Mexico and knows LSM (Spanish Sign Language). The previous sistsrs and the Elders have been working with him and it was a wonderful service. I was surprised at how much LSM I understood. Sister Hardy has been teaching me some but it also helped that they were signing simply and had a voice interpreter.
Thursday we had another exchange, but this time it was a 3 way companionship exchange with the STLs and another companionship. So Sister Hardy and I stayed here in the Deaf branch and Sister Bray came and joined us for the day!!! It was so much fun!! Oh guess what else happened on Thursday!!!!!!! I got my tiwi card!!!! Oh yeah. For all my non missionary friends who don't know what I just said: a tiwi is a little box in the car that you log into that allows you to drive the mission car. It logs if you are speeding, driving too aggressively, if you have your seatbelt on, etc... Anyway I got my card to log in to tiwi so I am legal!!! Also I haven't gotten a check your speed yet so bonus points!!! (If you ever rode in a car with me before now you'll know how proud I am of that)
Speaking of driving Sister Hardy had me drive the past few days and when added together it was about 300 miles. :) the freeways here are kinda insane but we're alive XD. I was especially happy thay I got to drive out to Chino Hills which is a good 45 min drive out there through the canyon. I felt right at home driving through a small canyon town kinda similar to what you'd pass going up to the ski resorts in Big Cottonwood Canyon.... but the mountain was a wee bit smaller..... and didn't exactly have any snow.. but that's okay! It had palm trees :)
I think that's all for my stories... this is getting a wee bit long. But a picture is worth a thousand words so enjoy these random pictures! Love yall!!
