I'm a Mom?!?
Hello friends and family!! What's up?
This week was a little rougher but we got through it so that is good! I got my trainee on Tuesday and she's so cute. Her name is Sister Wickens and she's fully Deaf. She does have a Cochlear Implant and has worked really hard with hearing and her voice with that so that's been a nice break on my wrists. She also is just barely learning sign so that's fun too!
Since there are now 2 companionships of Sisters we opened back up the North and South areas. Well Sister Wickens and I opened the South and the old area Sister Hardy and I covered basically became the North with a few members going South. Most of the members live in the North and the Elders were taking care of most of the South sisters so it's a great opportunity for us to find and meet new people!
Another fun thing that comes with a new area is a brand new area book! (Our app that keeps track of all the plans and people) It's a fun challenge to have a brand new area book because it's a clean slate.... we're still waiting on all the information on our friends and members... so that's fun. But other than that I've gotten pretty good at writing plans on paper for the 2 days we didn't have access to the app. But the APs got us apporoved and set up with the schedule part on Thursday! Blessings!! Not having area book really showed me how much of a blessing technology is.
I'm excited to get to know all the South members and find some friends. Wish me luck! I love yall!!
