Sister Snells Service Schenanagins 🤦♀️
Hey friends and family! How's it going? Hope yall are doing well!
This week was pretty good. We did some service, had zone conference, and saw a couple miracles.
We got to do service a couple times this week. We started out on Wednesday doing some service for Red Cross. If you know me, you're proud of me for doing this because I was in a blood donation center for about 4 hours and I didn't freak out once! (I have a phobia of doctors) But it was really good! We mainly just checked people in and made sure nobody was gonna pass out after donating blood.
And then on Friday we went out to Hunnington Beach to help one of our members clean out her garage and put it into a storeage unit..... well...... we thought that's what we were doing on Friday... I was so proud of myself becuase she asked me to get a team of missionaries to help and I organized the whole thing. We had a group of the ASL misionaries go and we all showed up........ and then I read the text again and realized that she thought we said Saturday... 🤦♀️ to say the least.. I felt a little dumb. So we all went to a taco truck and did some language study and then the next day we went back out to actually help her... Man. I don't know if I'll ever live that one down haha! But good news! I don't think I'll ever have to plan service events anymore!! XD Maybe they'll give me a seccond chance next transfer. On Saturday we had a good time and got it all done. The work went pretty fast with all the hands and it was pretty fun. As we were loading the truck by our members house some people walked up and started signing with her! As soon as I saw that I got excited and started signing to them too. Found out they are deaf and lived just a couple houses down! Our member told us she'll give us their address and we're excited to drop off a plate of cookies or something with our VP number next week.
Also on Saturday we had exchanges!! I love exchanges! They are always so much fun! I started off the day with one of our new STLs (Sister Training Leaders) Sister Gordon and it was a blast. She came and helped with moving our member. After that all the ASL missionaries met up to do some filming for our FB page again. It was a good time and hopefully we'll get some content rolling on our face book so if you want to see me throwing hands, go follow the page! Church of Jesus Christ in Orange County Deaf. :) During filming Sister Gordon went with Sister Granger(other STL) and Sister Wickens. Their other companion Sister Thomas then became my companion for the rest of the night and that was pretty fun getting to talk to her some more. She did marching band in High School so it was fun to geek out about that for a sec.
Anyway. Sorry for the long boring email! Hope yall have a great week! Love you!!!!
