Fieldtrip to the bar 🤦‍♀️

 Hi friends and family!

This week was really good! We were finally able to contact a lot of our members we've been trying to get in contact with!! We are getting to know them better and teach some more lessons. Woo!

On Wednesday we got to go help one of our past members wives with some service. We helped her put chicken wire on her wall to help her vine things stick to the wall better. It was really cool and we were able to talk to her a little bit about the deaf community and her experiences. (Her husband was deaf and she is a professional interpreter) We learned a lot from her and she invited us back to help her paint a wall next week. 

Friday was a party! We had interviews and then language study with the North Sisters. Right after language study we got a call from our Zone Leaders asking if we could go to the church real quick and start filling the font for their baptism this week. We were more than happy to do that for them because I've never done it and we could just contact the people we needed to while waiting. So after about a half hour the font still wasn't even close to being full. It had maybe 6 inches of water in the bottom.....not good right? The baptism started in about 20 mins. So we got the idea to go to the kitchen and start filling up pots of water to help the process go a little faster. We ended up getting it full enough by the time the baptism started but we were still dumping the pots into the font 2 mins before it started. To say the least it was a fun experience. ;)

On Saturday we filmed for our Face Book page again! We all showed up at a place in downtown Fullerton and started filming. I wasn't too aware of my surroundings for a good 5ish mins. It was a pretty cool scene with some strings of lights hanging outside above us and a lot of people were around. After a while I started to feel uncomfortable and looked around and I realized that we were standing basically in the outside courtyard of like 5 different bars 🤦‍♀️ We tried to film the video but it wasn't working out. People kept walking into the shot or the camera malfunctioned. Anyway we all started feeling like we should leave. We did and immediately the spirit came back and our videos worked out. Good times. It really helped me see how important it is to have the spirit at all times and in all things and in all places. I'm so grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost that I have in my life.
