ππ©The Suite Life of Sister Snell Season Finale ππ¨
Hi friends and family!
This week was so so good! It had some amazing ups and a couple downs.. buuut that's life and life is wonderful!
On Tuesday we went to go teach Juana and Vero again and we were driving and realized it was hot outside. Perfect weather to roll your windows down right? Well the birds think so too π€¦♀️ So not even 2 minutes after I rolled my window down, I'm sittin there chilling to my music then SPLAT......... A bird pooped on the mirror. Yes that doesn't seem too bad buuuuut it just so happened that my window was rolled down so it splattered all over me!!! Ahhhh! And I was wearing a black dress so I sat through the lesson with some beautiful white splatters all over my left shoulder. XD Gotta love California birds. They have surprisingly good aim so be careful.
Thursday we got our 2nd Covid Shot.. We weren't too smart and scheduled to have a really busy weekend so right after our Covid shots we went to teach a lesson to Connie, one of our members. Right after that lesson we went to go to one of our members houses (Betty) to give her some instructions for her Patriarchal Blessing on Sunday. The Patriarch gave us a fat packet of about 15 pages we needed to read with her.. We sat down with her and taught her about Patriarchal Blessings some more and then read a few things and all was well. Once we got home we passed out. Our energy was able to last through what we needed but then we were exhausted
Friday wasn't any better. Sister Wickens and I both had some good fevers and we were exhausted. But we had a couple friends to go visit and we had a really good conversation with Antonia! (I think it was a good conversation XD) It was in gesture. Antonia is really sweet and it's hard to understand her but at least we didn't accidentally open the door to her house this week .
Saturday was a party! We went and dropped off some Mothers day gifts for some members that missed church last week and then we filmed some things for Facebook Page. Speaking of which I was on it! Sadly they shared a really old video from my 2nd week here in the branch and my signing is terrible... buuuuuuut it's fine. You forgive me right? Just know my signing has improved I promise. :) Anyway after that we had to interpret for Stake Conference. We were trying to set it up so we had a TV behind us with the meeting on but we had technical difficulties so all the members saw was us. It was good nonetheless.
Sunday was probably the highlight of my whole week and the most I have ever interpreted in my life!! We started off the day by going to the early morning session of Stake Conference to interpret for the Leadership Conference. The elders interpreted for some of our members and then Sister Hardy and I interpreted for Vero... in Gesture... Now I think by now yall know what gesture is but in case you forgot it's basically charades. So anyway.. I thought interpreting a Relief Society meeting was hard in gesture.... but let me tell ya. Stake conference was a whole other ball park. We had to interpret the sustaining of all the General Authorities, Stake presidencies, and then a huge rant about ministering. It was a wonderful challenge and I'm so ready for some good games of charades when I come home. So if you wanna play hit me up .
Lastly on Sunday we got to interpret Bettys Patriarchal Blessing. HOLYCOW!!!!! IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO READ ANYTHING ELSE IN THIS EMAIL PLEASE READ THIS SECTION!!!! Man Okay. That was probably the most spiritual experience I have had so far. I know that God loves his children so so much and being able to interpret that for someone has its own really special feeling. I know that I was not the one interpreting the blessing because there were many times while interpreting where I had no clue what they were saying. I didn't know what a word meant but a sign came to my head. I felt the Holy Ghost guiding my hands and mind to the signs I needed to sign. I just want to testify that God really is there! He cares about you, He loves you, and He wants you to succeed. Whatever the situation is if you will do your best to prepare and then give the rest to the Lord you will succeed. Maybe not in the way you think or want, but you will succeed.
After the blessing we had a wonderful dinner with Brother and Sister Meredith and then ran to a Zone Devotional. It's the last one of the transfer and as you can tell by the email title (Shoutout Sister Meyer for the email title inspiration) I'm moving apartments :( But I'm staying with Sister Wickens so Whoooo! We're excited! Anyway the devotional was amazing and we had a good testimony meeting about change and giving our all. it was wonderful.
I love you all so so much! Have a fantastic week!!!!
